Update, February
2, 2012: Even though the weather has been unseasonably warm here in North Iowa, we still have
about 10" of ice at the event site. However, the blanket of snow that was on top of the ice is melting. Unless
we get a little fresh snow before festival day, it will be slick on the flying field so plan to wear ice cleats if you have
them!
 
The 11th annual
"Color the Wind" Kite Festival will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012. As always, there will be an exciting variety of huge
show kites, ground displays and demonstrations of choregraphed kite ballet! Weather permitting, the show will start
at 11 AM at the downtown seawall, on the frozen lake in Clear Lake, Iowa and will continue until 4 pm.
